Embark on a true Patagonian fly fishing expedition at Estancia Río Capitán Lodge, a remote 60,000-acre ranch tucked deep in Argentina’s wild Santa Cruz Province—just a few hours from the legendary glacier country of El Calafate and El Chaltén. This untouched fishery lies deep in the remote Tucu Tucu Valley—one of the most inaccessible corners of Patagonia. Perched high on the windswept pampa along the Chile–Argentina border, it overlooks the towering ramparts of the Patagonian Andes.

This is a zone with mythic size trout—massive rainbows and bruiser browns that will absolutely melt your reel and blow your mind. Exclusive access to untouched waters means no angler pressure and hungry, dumb fish.

The week includes six full days of guided fishing, exploring a different piece of water every day— if you wish you will never fish the same stretch of water twice. The estancia offers a rare diversity of private fisheries:

We are the exclusive US-based agent for Daddy Rabbit Sportfishing, which boasts two incredible fishing platforms: a 60′ Viking and a 23′ Grady White. These boats offer anglers multiple options for getting out on the water: day trips to the local banks, big-money tournament fishing, multi-day offshore trips to Magdalena Bay and Alijos Rocks. If your imagination can’t come up with something our vast experience in these areas will put you on the fish, whether in the water freedive spearfishing, traditional rod and reel, or fly fishing. Montana is one of the world’s great fly-fishing destinations and the Missouri River (The Mo’) is one of Montana’s premier trout fishing rivers. Fly-fishing the famous cold tailwater stretch below Holter Dam features prolific insect hatches and large populations of lunker rainbow and brown trout that will put your gear and skills to the test. On top of the spectacular fishing on the lower Mo’ we are stoked to be able to offer fishing at “Land of the Giants” for everyone, and all you need to know about this special place you can gather from the name of the zone.

On the Crow Indian Reservation below the Bighorn Reservoir, the Bighorn River is a classic tail-water fishery featuring cold, clear water and abundant nutrients for the aquatic invertebrates that large trout love to feed on.

February is an incredible time to be in Coyhaique. We’ll have plenty of dry fly fishing but also the chance to throw streamers at big, mean migratory brown trout that you only see in your dreams. Additionally with lower flows on some of the waters the opportunity for chinook salmon are ever present.
The waters we’ll fish range from small spring creeks in the pampas to larger freestone rivers such as the Simpson, Paloma, or Mañihuales. In addition to the flowing waters we’ll also do a fair share of lake fishing, where anglers often land their biggest fish of the week. Contrary to common perception, lake fishing here is dynamic and challenging, drifting with the wind along the shoreline, actively casting to structure in search of cruising fish.

The remote Magdalena Bay is located approximately 160nm north of Cabo San Lucas. During the fall months the sardine run shows up en mass, and it is on! All the predators we want congregate on the offshore banks and bait balls erupt with feeding frenzies of pelagic fish- it’s a dream destination for anglers and spearfishers. The main target will be wahoo, yellowtail, dorado and yellowfin tuna, but we’ll mix in some grouper spots and you will definitely run into a striped marlin or two.

We’ll be aboard a 60-foot sportfisher with tender and an experienced crew who understand spearfishing.

Includes 6 days of diving with professional guiding, all meals, round trip transportation from Los Cabos airport (SJD) to the yacht.

Exclusions: airfare to Los Cabos, alcoholic beverages (we’ll stop along the way to pick up beer/wine/spirits), crew gratuity.
This is a weather dependent itineray and trip insurance is suggested.

Flying Fish Adventures is stoked to bring another opportunity to chase pelagics offshore in San Diego. We’ve added a 1.5 day charter during prime fishing time. Looking to catch a bluefin tuna, California yellowtail, dorado or yellowfin tuna?  This trip is the one to be on! San Diego is one of the top offshore fishing destinations in the world. During August the offshore fishing can be epic. The pelagics have migrated off the coast by this time and you can expect to catch bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, California yellowtail and Dorado. This is prime time!
 

Our private charter is aboard a 65-foot sportfishing boat with one of the best crews in the San Diego fleet. Trip is limited to 18 anglers

Board at 9pm on Aug 29. Disembark at 5am on August 31.

Includes 1.5 days of fishing, all meals, and Mexican permits.

San Diego is one of the top offshore destinations in the world. During August the offshore fishing can be epic.  The pelagics have migrated off the coast by this time and you can expect to catch bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, California yellowtail and Dorado.

This is a private charter aboard a 65-foot sportfishing boat with one of the best crews in the San Diego fleet.  Trip is limited to 26 passengers

Includes 2.5 days of fishing, all meals, and Mexican permits.

The famous Mentawai archicpelago is where your surf dreams come true. Rifles, Macaronis, Hollow Trees, No-Kandui, Bank Vaults, and so many more spots. We’ll spend 12 days, 11 nights aboard the yacht with a full 11 days of surfing in the best waves in the world. There are hundreds of breaks, lefts and rights, and with a seasoned crew and surf guide we’ll bob and weave to find the best conditions with the least crowd. Born in the Rocky Mountains southeast of Yellowstone National Park, the legendary Bighorn River runs for over three hundred miles through Wyoming and Montana, amid scenic mountain ranges and river canyons before joining the Yellowstone River. On the Crow Indian Reservation below the Bighorn Reservoir, the Bighorn River is a classic tail-water fishery featuring cold, clear water and abundant nutrients for the aquatic invertebrates that large trout love to feed on.
 
Fly into Billings (recommended; possible to leave out of Bozeman tho) and let us take care of the rest. The transfer vehicle will shuttle you to Fort Smith and then you’ll spend three epic days casting flies for big ‘bows and browns off a guided drift boat on the legendary Bighorn River.
