March is an incredible time to be in Coyhaique. We’ll have plenty of dry fly fishing but also the chance to throw streamers at big, mean migratory brown trout that you only see in your dreams. Additionally with lower flows on some of the waters the opportunity for chinook salmon are ever present.
 
The waters we’ll fish range from small spring creeks in the pampas to larger freestone rivers such as the Simpson, Paloma, or Mañihuales. In addition to the flowing waters we’ll also do a fair share of lake fishing, where anglers often land their biggest fish of the week. Contrary to common perception, lake fishing here is dynamic and challenging, drifting with the wind along the shoreline, actively casting to structure in search of cruising fish.
 
This trip is limited to 8 anglers. Price is based on double occupancy.

What’s Not Included:
  • Airfare to Balmaceda Airport (BBA). Make it simple and have us book your airfare for a flat $75 fee
  • Gratuity for boat guides, chef and lodge staff (~$800pp/wk)
  • Chilean fishing license
  • Hard liquor and spirits
  • Fishing Gear: waders, boots, fly rods/reels, tippet, flies (Rental gear available for $50/day)
  • Trip Insurance (strongly recommended)

*Reservations and Payments: A 50% semi-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space. Semi-refundable means the initial deposit will be refunded, minus the service fee, once the cancelled spot has been reserved by a new guest. If the cancelled spot cannot be filled by a new guest the deposit will be forfeited. Final payment is due 90 days prior to the trip (December 9, 2024). Airfare booked by Flying Fish Adventures must be paid upon flight reservation. Price is based on double occupancy and is subject to change. Reservations and payments will be forfeited if full payment is not received according to the schedule. No refunds can be made after November 9, 2024. Cancellations are subject to a $150 processing fee. Credit cards (VISA & MC) may be used with a 3.5% transaction fee, or… send your deposit by check, Venmo or Zelle and avoid the fee. Worldwide Diving Adventures (WDA), dBA Flying Fish Adventures, participates in the California Seller of Travel Program. Upon cancellation of the transportation or travel services, all sums paid to WDA for services not provided to the passenger, will be promptly paid to the passenger, when the passenger is not at fault and had not canceled in violation of any terms previously clearly and conspicuously disclosed to and agreed to by the passenger, and unless the passenger otherwise advises the seller of travel in writing, upon cancellation.

WDA, through the California Seller of Travel Program, also participates in the Travel Consumer Restitution Fund (TCRF). Passengers have a right to make a claim on the fund. The Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation (TCRC) was created to decide claims made against the Travel Consumer Restitution Fund, which serves consumers located in California who suffer losses as a result of the bankruptcy, cessation of operations, insolvency, or material failure of a seller of travel to provide the transportation or travel services contracted.
