Like throwing big streamers to the biggest fish on the river?  If so, this trip is for you.  This is a trip that will test your abilities to land large fish and deal with whatever the Mo wants to throw at you. We will be primarily focusing on bigger fish, with heavier rods and weighted lines.  The ability to cast well is what we recommend for our anglers.  The weather at this time of year can also be fickle.  You could be fishing in shorts and flip flops or dealing with cold weather and being bundled up with waders.  If you want go trophy hunting for trout, this is the trip for you.

Montana is one of the world’s great fly-fishing destinations and the Missouri River (The Mo’) is one of Montana’s premier trout fishing rivers. Fly-fishing the famous cold tailwater stretch below Holter Dam features prolific insect hatches and large populations of lunker rainbow and brown trout that will put your gear and skills to the test. On top of two days on the lower Mo’ we are stoked to offer one day of fishing at “Land of the Giants” for everyone, and all you need to know about that day you can gather from the name of the zone.
